Frank Zappa T-Shirt - Radio Clyde Tee worn by Frank Zappa

Frank Zappa T-Shirt, vintage tee worn by Frank Zappa.

Frank Zappa was an American musician, record and film producer, songwriter and composer. In his career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, jazz and orchestral works.  He began writing classical music in high school and at the same time played drums in rhythm and blues bands; later changing to electric guitar.

Frank Zappa is seen here wearing a Radio Clyde T-Shirt.

Andy Park, the programme director at Radio Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland claims he not only designed the logo for the radio station but he actually gave the t-shirt to Frank Zappa when he was there for an interview in 1980. He also got to sit in on Zappa auditioning bass players in his LA-based rehearsal space. Park recollects: ‘Frank was sat on this high stool, while I was sitting in an armchair. The bassists had to perform the bass line from Frank’s songs, which is difficult enough! Most got about two bars in before Frank would stop them and tell them they’d got it wrong. They got a few shots, but it wasn’t the easiest environment to rehearse.’

Worn Free Tees are custom made from super soft washed cotton, giving them a great vintage feel, so comfy this tee will be an instant favorite in your T-Shirt rotation.

Worn Free reproduces classic vintage style 'fully licensed' tees, in this case as worn by Frank Zappa.

Each tee comes with a special backstage pass style hang tag showing a picture of Frank wearing this Radio Clyde tee design.
